Title: Amazing convenience
Review: This is a great little block of multifunctionality for the intrepid globetrotter. All of the potential electric plug options built into one cube makes it a great item if you’re going to be traveling multiple continents. It offers the ability to travel worry free knowing that you’ll be able to adapt the available plug to your electronic charging needs. The ones I’ve used in the past had multiple interchangeable pieces that meant I was carrying a whole kit. True, I could research which ones I was going to need in the places I planned to travel and only take the necessary adapters, but sometimes countries use more than one and you don’t know what you’re going to need, or where you might end up. This block takes all of that consideration out of the equation. In addition to offering the option of adapting many different types of power plugs to the local outlet type, the built in USB-C cord covers you for so many of your charging needs, as it is quickly becoming the universal charging port on smaller devices. You can place this adapter between the your hotel’s lamp and the outlet, and charge your phone at the same time instead of having to unplug the lamp and commandeer the entire outlet for your adapter. Or you can unplug the lamp and plug your laptop into it while also charging your phone and other devices using the built in cable and other USB ports. Lots of flexibility and convenience.The adapter is a bit heavy, but it is a neat little block that won’t get separated from any necessary components, unlike the other style that needs a bag to stay all contained. The length of the retractable USB-C cord makes it so you can use it while it is charging. I love any opportunity to reduce clutter and this universal adapter does this. Also, it’s a rapid charger, which can be important when you only have a short turn around time in the airport or forget to charge until the last minute. Very easy to change between adapter styles. Seems to be very thoughtfully designed.The listing claims that it offers a two year warranty and [sic]4/7 product support. I clicked on the hyperlink for warranty information and got a note to contact the company. The only way I see to contact the company is through the Amazon intermediary, which is not very convenient. I don’t have the product insert available to me at the moment, so am unable to see if there is contact information there. I hope so, otherwise the support and warranty seem like hollow promises.Based on other similar high wattage products available, the price seems reasonable.
