Title: Reliable Travel Security with a Helpful Alert Feature
Review: I recently purchased this two set of Forge TSA008 locks for a multi-leg international trip, and they provided much-needed peace of mind while navigating busy airports. I used these specifically for my checked luggage and a carry-on backpack. The 100% zinc alloy body feels significantly sturdier than the cheap plastic locks I’ve used in the past, and they survived several rough baggage handling transfers without a scratch. The standout feature for me is the Open Alert Indicator. After landing, a quick glance at the lock lets you know if a TSA agent used their master key to open your bag; a red button pops up if it’s been accessed. This allowed me to immediately check my belongings before even leaving the baggage claim area. Setting the 4-digit combination was straightforward, and the dials have a satisfying “click” that makes them easy to align, even in dim lighting.Pros:• Durability: The zinc alloy construction is tough and doesn’t feel brittle.• Inspection Alert: The red indicator is a simple but effective way to track security checks.• Easy to Read: The white numbers on black dials are high-contrast and easy to see.Cons:• Shackle Thickness: While sturdy, the shackle is a bit thick; it fit my standard zippers perfectly but might be tight on very small, non-standard backpack eyelets.• Deterrent Only: Like all TSA locks, it’s a deterrent rather than a safe. It won’t stop a determined thief with heavy tools, but it effectively prevents opportunistic pilfering. Overall, these are excellent for anyone who travels frequently and wants a durable lock that offers more feedback than a standard padlock.

Title: Useful locks for luggage, firearm cases, and motorcycle bags
Review: I use these locks for several purposes. When traveling, to secure my luggage. These are TSA locks, so TSA agents can open them for inspection. The locks have a colored inspection flag, which pops up if the TSA accesses them with their keys. The flag cannot be reset without the lock combination. They are durable and made of good materials. Programming your unique combination is easy.I use these locks for more than just travel, so they’re a good value because they can be used for many things; backpacks, firearm cases, etc. I use one on my motorcycle’s tank bag.

Title: Works fine
Review: Solid workmanship. Easy to “program” your own combination (instructions included, they’re easy to follow). The only problem, of course, is that in an airport so many people will have access to a TSA key, that I doubt it gives any more than just a little bit of security.Most thieves will want to get in and out really fast. So, it’s possible that a fine way to discourage them is just to take a typical round key ring and loop it into your two zipper pull-tabs. It’ll take 10 seconds for a thief to open that up, which is longer than most “grab and dash” thieves will want to spend.

Review: Great item. The loop is flexible and can fit in lots of situations. Can be unlocked by TSA when necessary with a special key they have, then there is an indicator that tells you it was unlocked. You set your own combination.

Review: They work really well as far as we know. We haven’t traveled with the 4 number locks yet but we traveled with the 3 number locks and they were great. Easy to program or change the code. Secure. We wanted more with more security for bags with medication, etc. They’re great quality.
