They work well in a variety of cups. The length is long enough but they can easily be cut to a desired length. They are colored but clear enough to make sure they are clean. It does come with several straw cleaners which fit well. They are not soft or bendable and rhey dont areive with any kind of funny tastes or smells. You get 24 of them in a pack so you can gift some if you wish or keep them all for yourself, it is a great value. I really liked that they came with a straw brush because that makes them so easy to clean.
