For so long, my former hammock was staying home for overnight trips as I try and keep my bag light. Yet, this ultra light hammock is regularly making it on overnight trips.Durability -I use it only for naps, not for sleeping through the night so I cannot speak of durability for through-hikers using it. I noticed a few threads going away when I received it from the factory. However no new threads have become lose at all.How I use it -I weight 180 lbs. I remove my shoes before getting on it, and I keep it not too far from the ground, just in case it reaps loose, which given the fabric could happen by accident.
