Title: Works great, compact, accurate
Review: I brought this on our Palm Springs trip. We share a suitcase as a family. Weighed the bag at 49.5 lbs and we got the same number at baggage check. Saved me money in the first use by allowing me to maximize our bag weight allowance.

Title: Small, portable and easy to use
Review: I am not one of those people who can reliably gauge the weight of an item by simply picking it up, so I purchased this luggage scale to help me judge the weight of my luggage as I am packing it. I have a postal scale if I require more precise information, but I thought it would be convenient to have something I could easily carry around with me as I packed. I can use this scale to weight individual items prior to packing, as well as the fully packed bag, which makes packing a lot less trouble, especially considering how picky airlines are becoming these days.I checked this luggage scale against my highly accurate postal scale and found a difference of around 5 ounces, or about a third of a pound. (See attached photo.) I find this acceptable, considering that I bought this luggage scale for less than the cost of cup of coffee.I will be using this luggage scale to get an ‘approximate’ weight on my luggage – I can always use my postal scale if I want a more precise weight – just to ensure that my bags will not be rejected at the airport. Airport scales are not always calibrated as often as they should be, and scales can vary from one check-in station to another, so I make a point of staying a few pounds below the weight limit. This luggage scale is simply a handy and portable tool to give me a rough idea of the weight; it’s not as if I’m expecting a $5 item to provide me with NASA-level precision. So for my intended use, this luggage scale will meet my needs.I found the instructions to be a bit of a challenge – they were clearly translated into English by a non-native speaker – but once I got the gist of what they were trying to say, I had no trouble. The device is simple to understand and simple to use. Furthermore, it’s small and lightweight – only 3 ounces – so I can pack it in my luggage for use when repacking for the return trip.
