Got a used monitor Review: This is the second monitor I’ve purchased. Same brand model, everything. The first one I got I liked so much and I decided to get a second one. I like the fact that you get sound out of it. It has built-in speakers and it’s a fairly affordable decent monitor for what you get. The stand isn’t very adjustable. I think that’s my biggest downside and normally I’d only knock that down one star. But I got the second monitor for my youngest son as part of his Christmas present. However, when I got the box it seemed okay but it seemed like something was loose in it and I don’t remember that when I got the first monitor so I opened the box up to check it out. Make sure everything was okay. Everything looks okay but the monitor I received is clearly used, not new, which I think is balony because I bought a new monitor, not a used one. How can I tell that it is used well? Like I said, this is the second one I got the first one I received, the monitor at a clear piece of plastic film that you would expect to have on a monitor that you have to remove. This one did not the first one I got looked brand new. This one has smudges and fingerprints all over it as if someone had touched it. And the power cord is not wrapped in a bag like it was when I got it brand new or tied with a twisty tie. It’s wrapped around like someone would if they had used the power cord before. So now before Christmas I’ve got a hook this monitor up and test it out and make sure it works and do it in my house without my son seeing me so that I can ensure that when he unwraps his present at Christmas that this is absolutely a good monitor. So lesson learned. I feel very wronged and for those reasons that’s worth docking it down a second star. Use caution. You should never buy something new and get something used. It’s just common sense. The seller should know that, Amazon should know that and this is total baloney. And to top that off I don’t know why it was returned.
