The adhesive it comes with appears to be appropriately strong. I did have to remove the insert to fit the model Apple TV I am using it for, but I think it’s a clever design to handle the different sizes of boxes.If you really don’t want to attach it to the back of your TV, it does come with mounting screws to attach it to a wall. I wil point out thought that although it comes with the screws, it does not come with wall anchors. Don’t just screw this directly into drywall.This is a simple concept that is well executed!
