Title: Heavy pages
Review: Nice sketchbook. Comes with plastic sleeve incase bleeds thru with markers. They will show thru on back of page, but no bleed thry to pages behind it. Love to draw with ink. Works great for pencil and inking. Smooth tooth texture. I like the quality. Binder cover/backing is heavy duty for packing in bag for travel.

Title: good sketchbook for alcohol and acrylic markers:)
Review: Very nice marker sketchbook! Very little bleed through, and I love that it came with a plastic piece for between the pages in case some ink does seep through. Paper is very smooth and perfect for alcohol markers, as well as colored pencils and acrylic markers.

Title: Great Sketchbook!
Review: My daughter loved these sketchbooks! The bind is well built and the pages are sturdy and colors show up well on it. Markers do not bleed through do to the thick paper and dry quickly. She draws a lot but they do take a good amount of time to finish because of all the pages.`

Title: I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this sketchbook
Review: Extremely well crafted. Just holding it- if you love blank books- is an impressive experience. Pleasantly heavy with very thick, excellent quality sketch paper. I bought this specifically to use with the same brand (Ohuhu) markers, and there’s only subtle bleed through to the other side of the page, but when you use the included plastic page protector, the bleed through doesn’t actually reach the next page. I also use the permanent Sharpie markers in these books, and those do well with the protector, too. I have a couple sizes of these books, and the plastic protector is sized for each book. The binding is sewn and very tough, but the book opens flat. The bookmark is the right thickness to be able to grab easily when you need it and ignore when you don’t- also, it seems to be just the right length, too, as most bookmarks are usually too short and you have to fight to grab them (personal pet peeve). These are a little expensive for what I usually like to spend, but they are worth every penny. These would last a lifetime.

Title: The paper doesn’t rip out at all
Review: I recommend buying this as long as your not hoping to rip the paper out because the first time I tried (I even read how to do it) it messed up one of my drawings 😔 but anyways it doesn’t bleed through the paper (not with my markers). The case for it is very nice. I wish that you could fit the thing you put under it for it not to bleed could fit into the slot in the back the clear thing picks up the color of my markers really well which I didn’t like but other than that its a really good Sketch book 👍☺

Title: Pages do Bleed, but Not Severely
Review: Ohuhu is one of the brands I will always be loyal to. They have yet to let me down, and I’ve needed a new sketchbook for a while. Being bleed resistant for alcohol markers is a plus, since it is my main media.However, as other reviews state, the pages are not 100% alcohol marker proof. They are definitely resistant, but using alcohol markers on a page will more than likely render the other side unusable/difficult to use. I scribbled with Ohuhu markers on a page I tore out to test the bleed resistance, and with the pink you can see I did 1 stroke, then up to 5. With the black, I just scribbled in a circle for around 10-15 seconds. The pink didn’t bleed through until 5 strokes, and it was super mild. The black definitely bled a lot more, though.While it didn’t touch the other paper too noticeably, you can see that the backside of the page I drew on has a good amount of bleed. If you blend your alcohol markers you know you need multiple strokes, and this can quickly lead to a 30-page notebook only having room for 30 drawings, instead of 60 like I had hoped.The paper quality is great though. It feels nice, it’s smooth, and has good weight. Feels nice to write and draw on, with little to no resistance against graphite and pens. I have not tested watercolor or acrylics on the paper yet though, so I do not know how it stands up to those medias.Also, I kinda hated the texture of the cover. Minor complaint, but it was weirdly textured with a ton of small lines, and an almost vinyl/plastic feel to it. I covered it in stickers to negate the texture, which was easy enough, but I wish it had not been textured, or was more mildly textured. But again, that’s a minor complaint, and very person-to-person.

Review: These really are beautiful books. Especially for the price. The paper is nice and “heavy”/thick, they simply look high-quality, and even come with a plastic sort of pad to place underneath your current page to avoid bleeding if you’re using something heavy.Myself, I’m mostly fountain pens and well, chisel-tip fountain pens and other chisel-tips for various things that tend to let ink drain as if you were pouring a drink if you let the tip sit on the paper. So far, all good. Due to the inks I use, I do leave them open to air dry however but that’s not this paper, it is my ink.I cannot speak for painting. I wish I were better at it but hey, can’t be the best at everything!Seriously though.. For the price I am beyond impressed. I bought an “art book” from a very well known “big box store” for around the same price and simply sitting on the shelf – without ink!!! – the pages curl … so, I bought another of these .. and another .. for after I finish the first.They arrive in a cardboard box, aside from whatever they’re shipped in which means you can feel safe that they’ll be in good condition.I forget exactly how I found this brand but so far, so good.I am far from an artist. That is why it is especially important for me to have quality paper and such. It’s hard enough to put my thoughts to paper. Quality inks/pencils (rare are the pencils) and paper have actually allowed me to make some decent representations. They are personal but that makes it even more important to me.I really appreciate these. This is simply a great product. Nothing more to say.

Review: I love these sketchbooks, I hope they never change! Especially with the added sheet that protects the next page. The paper is smooth, it’s strong and sturdy and it’s great when I color.

Review: Absolutely beautiful sketchbook! I’ve been looking for a new one in AUS with thick pages – the paper is very flat with no grit, so great for sketching and drawing, I’ll update when I break out the Charcoals. Minor warping with messy beach watercolours. And my only warning would be that they are heavy – I had thought to use the smaller one as a travel journal, but she’ll be a heavy journal (very sturdy though), and love the elastics to keep it closed! And the vellum page guard? Brilliant.Overall thoroughly pleased with these sketchbooks!! They’re a joy to draw on and so glad I went with them.
