Title: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Review: This matcha powder has quickly become a favorite in my kitchen. It tastes clean and vibrant—exactly what I look for in a pure, high-quality matcha. The color is beautifully bright green, and the flavor is smooth with just the right hint of natural sweetness and earthiness, without any bitterness.I’ve been using it in morning lattes and smoothies, and it blends effortlessly with both water and milk. A little goes a long way, so the jar lasts longer than I expected. I also love knowing it’s just pure matcha with no weird fillers—feels like a real treat that’s good for you too.Overall, this matcha is top-notch: flavorful, easy to use, and genuinely delicious. If you want a pure matcha that tastes great whether you’re sipping it traditional style or mixing it up, this one’s a winner.

Title: Delicious, Smooth Matcha — Perfect for My No-Ice Lattes at Home 🍵💗
Review: I’m really happy with this matcha 🍵💗 The taste is smooth and pleasant, not bitter, and it blends well with milk. It gives a nice clean matcha strength without being overwhelming, and it feels like such a calming little ritual for me 🌸✨The color and overall “beauty” of the drink is amazing too — it looks so pretty, especially when I make it with milk and a creamy topping. I also think this would make a lovely gift for any matcha lover because it feels special and high quality 🎁💗One big reason I’m so excited is that I love matcha without ice because of sensitive teeth, and so many places around me (even matcha-focused cafés) don’t really offer a true no-ice option. So I prefer making it at home where I can control everything — warm, creamy, and exactly my style ☁️🍵💗The only thing I didn’t expect is how small the jar is. The listing says it should be about 20 servings, and we’ll see, but I drink matcha twice a day, so realistically it may last around 10 days or about a week. Still, it’s so tasty and enjoyable that I’m satisfied, and I’m happy I can finally make my perfect Strawberry Matcha with Einspänner cream at home 🌸💗✨

Title: Perfection!
Review: I have been drinking matcha for many years, 20 or more, and this is top of the line. Incredible taste, fragrance and color. Mellow, grassy, smooth, not at all bitter, just right. If you haven’t tried it yet I highly recommend.

Title: Good Beginner Matcha
Review: I am a beginner Matcha enthusiast and I love imaking matcha lattes at home (my favorite is Strawberry Matcha lattes). I have repurchased Superior Ceremonial 3× now. I am on my second 3.5 oz bag. I’ve also tried another well known popular affordable matcha (Jade Leaf) and I immediately decided it is better to splurge accouple more dollars in purchasing Naoki. The texture of the powder is extremely fine. The color is a beautiful dark vibrant green. The flavor is very light with a very low bitterness and a hint of sweetness on its own. It has a very clean taste. However, the flavor does get easily over shadowed by milk and sweetners in a latte. If you want to taste the matcha better you need to add more matcha powder (~4.5 grams). Considering the fact that I am not drinking Matcha traditionally, I do not need a flavor profile that is super complex like what other matcha enthusiasts rave about (often times their recs are super overpriced for its size and/or hard to get). I just need something that will be paired well when used with milk and sweetners. I look for matcha with good quality, affordability, and easy accessibility to repurchase (via Prime adds extra brownie points). Superior Ceremonial checks all the boxes to a first good intro to matcha!

Title: Who knew matcha was supposed to be refrigerated?
Review: I really like this matcha. The energy level is smooth and steady—no jitters, no crash, just clean focus that lasts. It’s also super easy to use: mixes well with water or milk and doesn’t clump, which makes it perfect for daily routines. The taste is what really sold me. It’s authentic, earthy, and naturally rich—not sweetened, not artificial, and definitely not that fake, overly flavored stuff you find everywhere else. You can tell it’s high quality the moment you sip it.I love that it’s made with organic ingredients, which makes it feel even better to drink regularly. In terms of value for money, it’s absolutely worth it—the quality matches the price, and a little goes a long way.Bonus points for the beauty factor too: vibrant green color, clean presentation, and it just feels like a premium product overall.Highly recommend if you want real matcha that actually tastes like matcha.

Title: Taste great and is affordable
Review: Naoki Matcha Organic Ceremonial First Spring blend has pleasantly surprised me and I would definitely recommend this product. The vibrancy of the powder along with the fragrant notes of sweet nuttiness and umami is hard to miss upon opening the bag! The price point of $40 is very decent and affordable in this era of finding a matcha worth your buck. This matcha blends incredibly extremely well, with no graininess and comes out extremely smooth. The usucha is not very creamy by itself, but still very smooth.I cannot verify whether this blend is true to being ceremonial or organic, however after ordering from a couple brands off amazon, it’s safe for me to say this is a great matcha at an affordable price point.Price Point:For one serving, or latte I use 4g/2tsp matcha and 120g of Planet Oat Barista Lovers Oatmilk. I make a 12oz Iced Matcha Latte for $1.90, if you’re trying to avoid spending $8+, Naoki is your bag!

Review: I’m a regular matcha drinker and I’m used to very high-quality matcha.I ordered this one after reading the positive reviews, but unfortunately it was very disappointing. The color is dull and looks oxidized, which is usually a sign of poor quality or old matcha. The taste is also not good at all and far from what a proper matcha should taste like.I bought the 100g bag and unfortunately I would not recommend this matcha.

Complete Beginners Advanced Beginners Intermediate Matcha Fans Intermediate Matcha Fans Complete Beginners Intermediate to advanced matcha fans What we think about this matcha This matcha is a little finicky, but when you get the temperature right it is a truly versatile, reasonably priced matcha blend that works for tea, lattes and all sorts of crazy recipes. Organic, versatile, and of very decent quality. We recommend this if you’re upgrading from “culinary grade” matcha. With a richer taste, coupled with some sweetness and umami. This is our go to for an “everyday blend”. Smooth, well-rounded with a gentle umami depth for matcha lattes with little to no sweetener. A little too grassy and bitter for enjoying neat, but great for sweetened matcha lattes that do not compromise matcha flavor. Our Masters Collection comprises higher grade, sometimes rarer matcha we personally love, though some may not be suitable for beginners due to their increased complexity. Choose this if: You are nervous about “grassy/bitter”notes in matcha and prefer it milder. You want a quality matcha without the grassy/bitter notes that tastes good, but also organic. You only make matcha at home now because cafes can’t get it right. You’re very sensitive to bitter notes. You like some sweetener in your matcha latte but still want punchy matcha flavors. You prefer variety and seek a deeper understanding of the different tastes and flavors matcha can provide. Tasting Notes Smooth and mild, with low bitterness. Roasty, cacao notes with low bitterness. Naturally sweet, with some umami and low bitterness. Smooth with soft umami notes and a natural sweet finish and low bitterness. Robust, earthy matcha flavor that’s smooth with moderate bitterness. Here are some tips
If you’re new to matcha – start with either our Superior Ceremonial Blend or Organic Ceremonial Blend if you prefer an organic product. They are beginner-friendly blends that provide versatility and a great taste. These also work great for lattes! If you’ve sample many different matcha, you may find that you have “outgrown” the beginner friendly blends. For an enjoyable matcha tea, try our Fragrant Yame Blend. It’s sweetness and smooth texture will make for a pleasing experience. If you are an advanced matcha enthusiast, do also consider try our Master’s Collection matcha. Our favourite is the Masters Collection Chiran Harvest matcha. If you intend to drink matcha as a caffeinated pick-me-up for sleepy afternoons, why not try it as a cold brew. That simply means cold water and matcha mixed together. All our blends work well for this, but our Fragrant Yame matcha provides the mildest, smoothest flavors.
Benefits of matchaMatcha provides a focused, mellow energy boost without jitters or the crash you normally expect from coffee.
This is due to naturally present L-theanine (an amino acid) and caffeine in matcha.
Matcha is also high in antioxidants, with a greater concentration compared to regular green teas.
Understanding matcha
Why do we describe matcha as “blends”?Matcha is made from shade-grown tea leaves that is milled into a fine powder. The final taste of matcha depends on a tea master who will select different tea leaves for their taste attributes.
The tea master “blends” these leaves together to accentuate certain flavors so that he can achieve a final result that the customer will find enjoyable.
The overall flavor objectives will vary by region. The classical “Kyoto” style matcha prizes balance and umami. In the south of Japan, many tea masters are known for producing lighter, sweeter matcha. Between good matcha, there is no single “best” flavor. It is a matter of individual preference. As the world learns to appreciate matcha, we expect more innovative flavour profiles to emerge.
Slow down and unwind with Usucha (traditional Japanese matcha tea)
Enjoy the classic frothy thin tea (“usucha”) at home.
Use 1 tsp (2 grams) of matcha along with 3 oz of 170 degree F water.
Best made using a bamboo whisk.
If too you prefer it less strong, use 5 oz of water instead

The best way to make Matcha Latte (hot or iced) every morning
Create the base “matcha shot” with 1.5 tsp (3 grams) of matcha and 1 oz of water.
Mix vigorously until there are no more clumps. Add 6 oz of your favourite milk and add sweetener to taste.
This formula works for both hot and cold matcha lattes

How to make an easy Cold Brew Matcha for better energy
Add 1 tsp (2 grams) of matcha to 6-8 oz of cold water and mix. Adjust the amount of water according to your personal preference.
We easily make cold brew matcha at home and at work using bottles.
All you need to do is add matcha and water to a bottle and shake it up until the matcha is evenly mixed. Try this with coconut water instead of water for a real treat.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. I’m new to matcha. Which blend should I choose? We recommend you to start with either the Organic First Spring Blend or Superior Blend. The Organic First Spring Blend is smooth, low in bitterness with a slight umami. The Superior Blend has a smooth, balanced flavor with moderate umami. Ideal for beginners and daily drinking. Both blends are versatile and excellent for making matcha lattes.
2. Is the bamboo whisk or electric whisk better for making matcha? It really depends on what you prefer. If you’re looking for a beautiful microfoam, the bamboo whisk (chasen) is a great choice. With a little practice, it’s simple to use and gives you more control over frothing and mixing. On the other hand, if convenience is key, an electric whisk is super handy. It works especially well for smaller servings—like mixing about 1 teaspoon of matcha into at least 4 ounces of liquid. Both options have their perks, so you can choose what works best for your matcha-making style!
3. How many servings of matcha latte can I make with 40g/1.4oz of matcha? We define one serving as 2 grams (about 1 teaspoon), but how much matcha you use per drink really depends on your taste and preference. If you’re just starting out, 2 grams is a great amount for a latte—it’s smooth and flavorful without being too strong. With this amount, you’ll get about 20 servings from a tin. For seasoned matcha lovers, you might prefer a bolder flavor by using 4 grams per latte. This will, of course, give you fewer servings per tin, but it’s perfect for those who enjoy a stronger matcha kick.
4. I’m worried about radiation and heavy metals. Do you test for radiation and heavy metals in your matcha? We rigorously test every crop of matcha for potential hazards, including radiation and heavy metals. These tests are essential for our factories to maintain their food safety certifications and licenses, which are required for continued operations. Additionally, the Japanese government conducts its own independent radiation testing on all food products. The results have consistently been negative, and they’re publicly available in English on the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare’s website.
5. What if I don’t like it? We’re here to help! Preparing matcha properly can make all the difference in bringing out its best flavor, and we’re happy to guide you with recipes, tips, and techniques. If your product didn’t meet your expectations, no worries—just reach out to us through the “contact seller” option. To help us resolve your concern quickly, it would be great if you could send us pictures of the product and its batch code. If you can also share how you’ve been preparing your matcha—your recipe and method—we’d be happy to provide personalized advice to help you get the most out of your matcha experience. We’ll do everything we can to ensure you’re satisfied and enjoying every sip!
6. How long can I keep my matcha for? You can store matcha for up to 12 months in an opaque, airtight container from the date it’s ground. Once opened, we recommend enjoying it within 1–2 months for the best flavor. To keep your matcha as fresh as possible, it’s a good idea to store it in the fridge.
7. How fresh are Naoki Matcha’s products? We ship our matcha in small batches to ensure freshness, and our products typically have at least 6–9 months of shelf life remaining. Amazon handles delivery using the “First-In-First-Out” method to keep things as fresh as possible. That said, occasional mishaps can happen. If you receive a product with less-than-ideal shelf life or a damaged bag due to delivery issues, don’t worry—just reach out to us! After a quick review, we’ll be happy to provide a replacement and make things right.
8. What does “ceremonial-grade” really mean? “Ceremonial-grade” doesn’t have a regulated definition, but for us, it means matcha that’s high-quality enough to enjoy on its own. Save for our “All Purpose Culinary Grade Matcha”, we would consider our entire lineup to meet our criteria for “ceremonial grade”. When it comes to matcha, the price usually reflects the quality. Higher-grade matcha typically has a smoother mouthfeel, less bitterness, and more umami, which is why it’s priced higher. It’s all about finding the right balance between taste and budget for your matcha journey!
